Call for Papers
The international scientific conference "Quality of democracy, electoral security, youth participation - interference, challenges, solutions" is organized by the Center for Continuous Electoral Training (CICDE).
The aim of the conference is to foster the international scholarly debate on the interferences between democracy, electoral security, and youth participation, to highlight the challenges they generate to the quality of democracy, and also to identify and propose solutions for decision-makers able to improve the democratic process.
Researchers, electoral experts, representatives of electoral management bodies, and civil society are invited to participate with articles, focusing on various aspects of ensuring electoral security in regions affected by the pandemic and war, accessibility, and ensuring the participation of young men and women in elections, including those from minority, vulnerable and/or underrepresented groups.
Comparative studies, case studies, legal and statistical data analysis, exchange of best practices, and proposals for solving the problems will be presented and discussed at the international conference.
Researchers will have the possibility to publish their papers in the Electoral Digest, a bi-annual journal of analysis, theory, and research in the electoral field, issued by CICDE.
Papers should be presented in Microsoft Word format and have between 4000 and 7500 words. This includes all text, the structured abstract, keywords (5-10), references, tables, figures, and appendices.
The materials will be accompanied by the name and surname of the author or authors, e-mail address, and affiliation of the author (name of the institution, position).
Working languages during the conference: Romanian, English.
Simultaneous translation will be provided by the organizers.
There is no fee to attend the conference.
