Recruitment of a Senior Specialist (remote research and training activity) to the Centre for Continuous Electoral Training (indeterminate period)

The Centre for Continuous Electoral Training (CICDE) under the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) is hiring a Senior Specialist in the area of remote research and training (indeterminate period).

Description of the institution:

The Centre for Continuous Electoral Training under the Central Electoral Commission of the Republic of Moldova is a public institution subordinated to CEC, established in line with Article 27 of the Electoral Code for the purpose of training and qualifying the electoral officials, as well as other subjects involved in the election process in the Republic of Moldova (more information is available at www.cicde.md).

The ideal candidate must have:

  • Higher education, Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent studies, preferably in political sciences, international relations, pedagogy, law.
  • 1 year of professional experience in a field relevant to this position;
  • Linguistic competencies: knowledge of Romanian and English (speaking and writing); knowledge of Russian is an advantage;
  • Competencies: integrity, responsibility, professionalism, team work, result orientation, perseverance, learning and continuous development, ability to solve issues and work with minimum supervision.

Position description:

  • Conduct and/or coordinate research activities at ‘CICDE’s research laboratory’;
  • Ensure the editing of the ‘Digest Electoral’ [Electoral Digest] Magazine on Electoral Theory and Practice as the Editorial Board Secretary;
  • Take part in the development of teaching and information materials at CICDE;
  • Take part in the organisation of training activities (seminars, trainings, etc.);
  • Manage the CICDE library (including the online library);
  • Manage CICDE’s remote training platform (www.e-learning.cicde.md

Working conditions:

  • working regime: 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day;
  • work schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 – 17:00, lunch time: 12:00 – 13:00.;
  • predominantly office work (119 Vasile Alecsandri St.);
  • availability to work overtime, as provided for by the legislation (during elections).
