The Centre for Continuous Electoral Training launches the 4th edition of the electoral internship program for the early Parliamentary Elections of 11 July 2021

Are you young, aged 18+, and actively involved in the public life of the country? Then this opportunity is for you. Apply to the CICDE electoral internship program. 

The electoral internship program is in its 4th edition and has a duration of 4 weeks, is intended for people who are at least 18 years old, are students in one of the country’s higher education institutions, have a valid identity card and are actively involved in public life. 

This year's electoral internship program aims to monitor the electoral process in the Republic of Moldova and abroad. 

Activities carried out as part of the electoral internship program include:  

  • Training seminars on hate speech, accessibility of the electoral process; 
  • Participation in the meetings of the Electoral Council and the Precinct Electoral Bureau; 
  • Monitoring and observation of the electoral process throughout the internship program. 

In the program’s first stage, participants will be acquainted with the general aspects of the electoral process. Subsequently, the agenda for the next period will be set jointly with the person in charge of the internship.

The program will culminate on the voting day, 11 July, when the participants are going to attend the opening of the polling stations and the press briefing organised by the Central Electoral Commission. The day will end up with a recap of the entire program, attendance certificates and participation prizes being awarded. 

Throughout the whole internship, the participants will be encouraged to create informative materials about the early parliamentary elections, how they are organised and the observations they have made. These can take the form of a filmed narration, podcast, videographic, etc.

Those interested in participating in the 4th edition of the electoral internship program are invited to submit a letter of motivation with the subject ‘Electoral Internship Program’ at d.popovici@cicde.md by 13 June 2021, 11:59 p.m.

Note: The applicants selected under the electoral internship program may not be part of  observation missions for the early Parliamentary Elections of 11 July 2021.
