CICDE Designated the Winners of the Third Edition of the Electoral Vlogging Contest

From 4 February to 17 April 2021, the Centre for Continuous Electoral Training organised the third edition of the electoral vlogging contest for children aged 7-14.

As within the previous editions, the terms and conditions of the election vlogging contest were simple, children had to record a video (1.5-3 minutes long) during which they talk with one of their parents, stage or improvise any other creative activity based on the information they read in the ‘Archi – Elections Without Barriers’ magazine.

The contest was conducted for two age groups of 7–10 and 11–14, respectively. About 100 children were involved in the development and creation of vlogs and contest committee determined 3 finalists for each age group. The finalists will be awarded with valuable prizes such as: e-book reader, portable speakers and board games. At the same time, each participant will receive a symbolic prize for participation featuring the logo of the institution hosting the electoral vlogging contest.

When determining the winners, the following criteria were taken into account:

  • Creativity;
  • Originality;
  • Visual impact;
  • Relevance of presentation.

Top places within 7–10 age group were held by:

  • I place Ursu Victor – the vlog can be viewed HERE
  • II place Pusca Adriana – the vlog can be viewed HERE
  • III place Stefan Placinta – the vlog may be viewed HERE

Top places within 11–14 age group were held by:

  • I place Bezbocov Bogdan – the vlog can be viewed HERE
  • II place Pupils of IV grade, ‘Pohoarna’ Gymnasium, Pohoarna village, Soldanesti district – the vlog can be viewed HERE
  • III place Pupils of IV grade, Raspopeni Theoretical High School, Raspopeni village, Soldanesti district – the vlog can be viewed HERE

The electoral vlogging contest is conducted under the ‘Enhancing democracy in Moldova through inclusive and transparent elections’ Project, implemented by the United Nations Development Programme in the Republic of Moldova (UNDP), with the financial support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)
