CICDE and ‘Stefan cel Mare’ Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have signed a Cooperation Agreement

The Centre for Continuous Electoral Training under the Central Electoral Commission, represented by the Dr. Doina Bordeianu and the ‘Stefan cel Mare’ Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, represented by Dr. Dinu Ostavciuc, agreed to sign a Cooperation Agreement on the development and implementation of study programmes, specialised trainings and joint activities in the electoral field, security and integrity of the electoral process, and development of electoral culture. The reason behind this was the perceived need to contribute to the development of the democratic society in the Republic of Moldova by training qualified professionals and the importance of continuous professional development for competent fulfillment of duties and provision of quality public service.

According to the Cooperation Agreement, CICDE and ‘Stefan Cel Mare” Academy aim to perform the following activities:

Establish joint working groups for performing concrete activities in the field of cooperation;

Coordinate and organise joint activities – workshops, scientific-practical conferences, debates;

The parties of the Agreement will consult each other while setting the priorities of the study programmes, continuous professional development courses, scientific research papers, analytical and information framework, topics, as well as the study methods to be applied;

Develop and publish joint scientific materials and papers, etc.

The Agreement was concluded for a three-year term and it will come into force when signed.

The second mobile campaign "Arci's Road to Elections" reached over 15,800 children More than 15,800 primary school children received a copy of the fourth edition of election strips, entitled "Bows for Barrier-Free Elections." The civic education materials were distributed within the mobile campaign "Arci's Road to Elections". On Global Elections Day, CICDE announces the launching of the mobile campaign ‘Arci’s Journey to Elections’, which aims at informing and civic education of primary school children. The campaign will be conducted during February-March 2021 under the ‘Enhancing Democracy in Moldova through Inclusive and Transparent Elections’ Project, implemented by UNDP Moldova, with the financial support of the American people provided through USAID Moldova.
