CICDE representatives carry out a study visit in Kiev, Ukraine, in the period 16-18 December.
Date: 20.12.2019

During 16-18 December, the delegation of the Center for Continuous Electoral Training led by the Director of the CICDE Mr Pavel Cabacenco, is on a study visit to the office of IFES Ukraine, OSCE, the Central Election Commission of Ukraine as well as at the Centre for Continuous Electoral Training under the CEC Ukraine.

The topics discussed during the meetings focused on the exchange of experience in conducting the training of the level I and II electoral officials, as well as the electoral education campaigns carried out in both countries with the support of development partners.

According to CEC Deputy-Chairperson, Mr Serghei Dubovic, ‘The Centre for Continuous Electoral Training under the CEC Ukraine, became a prototype of the CICDE Moldova. When we established our Centre, we borrowed many useful things in terms of electoral training, as well as their functioning from our colleagues from the Republic of Moldova’.

In his turn, the Chairperson of CICDE, Mr Pavel Cabacenco, mentioned that: ‘The institutionalization and maintenance of bilateral relations at regional level is a shared goal. At present, CICDE has over 12 training programs for different categories of beneficiaries, taking into account this fact we are ready to share these practices with other training centers in the region.’

In this context, topics such as: the professional and qualified training of the members of the level I and II electoral constituency electoral commission were discussed, and, if possible, the training of the teaching staff who, in their turn will facilitate the lessons of electoral education during the classes of civic education, etc.
