Training was offered to the members of all the 51 uninominal electoral district councils created for the Parliamentary Elections and the Republican Consulative Referendum of 24th February 2019. Thus, from 19th through 27th December 2018, the Centre for Continuous Electoral Training (CICDE) organised 43 seminars and trained 350 people.

Training seminars were organised in order to contribute to the fair and consistent enforcement of current laws and thus to ensure the good organization of the elections on the 24th February 2019. Among the topics discussed were also the following: district electoral councils responsibilities before, during and after the E-day, candidates’ registration for deputies in uninominal districts, observers accreditation, communication with the media, complaints review and resolution, district voting final tabulation and other relevant topics.

We would like to mention that on 21st December 2018 the Central Election Commission (CEC) created 51 uninominal district electoral councils for the Parliamentary Elections and the Republican Consultative Referendum of 24th February 2019. According to the legal provisions, these are to be created with an odd number of members, at least 7 and not more than 11 people, 3 among whom need to have a legal BA degree or a public administration degree.
