During 20th-21st December 2018, the Centre for Continuous Electoral Training (CICDE), in partnership with the Central Election Commission is training the staff responsible for the finances of political parties (treasurers). On the 19th December 2018, the Centre for Continuous Electoral Training (CICDE) organised a training session for the representative of the media and NGOs ”The Media during Parliamentary Elections”. This seminar is part of the range of trainings organised by the CICDE within the project financed by the Council of Europe “Training for Influencers”. At this meeting, Mr. Arnis Cimdars spoke about Latvia’s experience in the electoral area, namely on the use of social media in the electoral campaign, the role of the state in preventing fake news and manipulations.
